Moonpod’s Starscape mixes old school arcade game play values with characterization and an involving plot to deepen the whole experience.
With most of its crew missing and its weapons systems ruined, the space research station Aegis is all but lost. As the last remaining pilot you must help rebuild the station’s defenses, acquire alien technology and create your own uniquely configured set of fighters. By mining the asteroids within the grid dimension, valuable resources can be harvested to fuel the Aegis’s molecular furnace to build devastating weaponry. Within the nodes of the grid you will encounter allies to aid in the struggle to escape, uncover the terrible purpose of the evil Archnid race and learn why you and the rest of the crew were brought here.

I love this game
Steam doesn't register offline hours. I've been playing this game for 20 years. It remains one of my favorites
Thou tedious at times, it's still fun to play
I bought this waaay back when I first joined Steam. It was something like $5 when I got it, and it wasn't worth it then. Hard pass
Starscape was one of the first games I had on PC way back in the day. It provided me hours upon hours of entertainment along with BG1, Traffic Department 2192, Doom, Wolfenstein, and a handful of other DOS games. I'm so happy it's on Steam
This game is a hoot, and the devs are awesome folks. Buy it
Its a great 2d space game that feels a lot like the X series but with a more focused story. I love it
Early indie classic. I played this on a CRT with a ball mouse sitting on my bedroom floor wearing the worst earphones money could buy
First played this 19 years ago; decided to buy this for nostalgic sake. It's still fun; but gameplay is a bit repetitive and can not exactly a relaxing grind. Too bad the price is still somewhat pricey for a game that can be finish in like few hours
That's the game of my childhood still works well on modern PCs. It was distributed as shareware on the magazines' CDs. Plays well on modern PCs even if graphics are outdated already
