The world is waiting for you; it has long since carved out a cozy place for her destiny. Guide the little one along this trail. The ultimate rule — never stray from the designated path. You cannot. The story unfolds within the mansion of an aristocratic family. Here, the birth of a daughter marks the beginning of a long journey toward becoming the ideal lady. Everything in the house is bound by strict order. Childhood innocence is slowly swallowed up by the control of the elders, yet behind this lies something much deeper — history, religion, symbolism, patriotism, and the unyielding norms of society.
The protagonist grows up trapped within this system. Her childhood is a constant struggle to meet expectations, suppressing her natural desires and emotions for the sake of the “flawless” image demanded by society. The world around her appears perfect at first, but gradually reveals itself as a golden cage, where the price of perfection is the loss of her own freedom.
