Combat
Zombies stand between you and your next stop. Scout an approach, clear a path or find a way around them. When you encounter a hulking boss, leave yourself room to fight and a route to retreat. Switch between first- and third-person views.
Explore
Your search for missing survivors begins at a wooded tourist lodge and takes you through a village, its suburbs and the city beyond. As you follow their trails, a medical team and its patients need evacuation, and their work toward a cure needs protection.
Follow forest roads through a tourist village, suburbs and city districts. Search abandoned homes and stores for equipment and ammunition, take on quests, and trade with shopkeepers before heading farther into the region.
World Map
The world spans 16 square kilometers.
Daylight gives you long views across the region and time to explore. At dusk, long shadows stretch across the roads as streetlights and lit interiors begin to stand out. After nightfall, moonlight outlines the landscape while your flashlight and scattered streetlights reveal the route ahead.
Modify Weapons
Assemble or modify weapons at workbenches.
Perks
Kills and completed quests earn experience. As you level up, choose perks in firearm handling, melee, scavenging and field medicine. Equip the gear you find and prepare for the next expedition.
Co-op
Play solo or bring up to three friends into online co-op for four players total. One player hosts the world, and the group shares its quest progress as you explore, fight and scavenge together.
